I Consume II is one of the latest pieces of work created by Demi. This piece explores her own contribution to consumerism through the form of painting.

 

The composition of the products demonstrate how Demi organises the products once she has purchased them. This painting aims to highlight the difference between how a shop would display these products compared to how an individual would once they have purchased them.

 

The painting style is influenced by the Pop Art movement which can be seen by the use of block colours and black outlines. This draws attention to the bright colours that are used throughout the cosmetic industry to attract the customers attention to the products.

 

The brand has been removed from all of the products alongside any other additional information. This has been done to remove the importance of the brand so that the focus is on the amount of products rather than who they are made by.
